Originally found via r/girlgamers, there’s a guy handing out this sticker to females at RTX. And by handing out, I mean
giving females he sees this sticker
slapping it on cosplayers’ costumes
according to a commentator on Dr. Nerdlove’s Facebook, slapping the sticker on girls’ asses
If you are at RTX or know someone there who has seen this sticker guy, please report him to RTX staff immediately. They’re currently on the look out for him. (See EDIT 2 below!)
As far as my opinion on this: people can love whatever the hell they want. It’s not an all-boys club - it’s 2013. Girls…guys…anyone can enjoy whatever fandom they please. The original of this post was deemed as a joke, but for this guy to willingly call out females in this method, (or, to be honest, any form like this) is profane and disgusting.
To the person handing out these stickers as a hateful gesture: I normally would say “Drown yourself in a river”. However, that wouldn’t educate you or any like-minded people like you that this is wrong. It doesn’t matter if you never read this. For me, I long for a day when it’s just fine to like whatever you like, pursue whatever you like to pursue. I’m happy to pursue my gaming life in the way that I do and I pity any person who thinks they have any authority to tell me what I can or can not do with my own existence.
Edit: To clarify, the person giving the stickers at RTX out is NOT Dr. NerdLove, the original maker of the logo. Further, Dr NerdLove does not condone the use of his logo being used to embarrass/harass females at the convention.
Edit 2: The guy has already been caught by RTX Guardians. According to @ZoeQuinnzel,

@DrNerdLove @cantfakethefunk yeah, someone just informed me that he got his ass thrown out in about an hour after
